This shot was taken during our first full day in Havana. We hadn't been there a full 24 hours yet and I was still in shock and awe by what I was seeing in Cuba. The cars, the people, the architecture, it was all a lot to take in at first. I really couldn't believe what I was witnessing.
Uno Peso Please
Our last day in Cuba I needed to exchange our CUCs for EUROs and as I'm running to the bank to stand in line for over an hour I see this man. He asked for one Peso to have his photo taken after I took his picture. Felt bad I didn't have any small bills but was happy with what I got anyway. Loved his shoes.
While in Vinelas we stayed about a half a mile walk from the main drag, which was one road that stretched about a mile or so. In the mornings after breakfast we'd walk to town and explore around. This was in someones front yard during our walk, I'd never seen a tree shed quite like this, something else to see, sporadic pops of magenta spread throughout someones yard.
Second night in Havana walking the streets at night one of my favorite things to do was peep into peoples homes on the first floor. Doors are always open and usually the windows too, nothing to hide. This was looking into someone living room, you could hear everyone watching the baseball game while Castro loomed overhead. I couldn't help but take the photo.
Excuse me, may I take your photo?
Living in New York and when traveling I always see people that I think would be fun to photograph, but never did anything about it for the longest. Finally, one day I just started asking people if I could take their photo, and it turns out, people don't usually mind at all. When I see someone I wanna photograph I usually know right away. Something about their unique personal style that grabs me, I appreciate what they add to the neighborhood everyday or wherever I happen to be.
For Italians only
Over the years traveling to Italy I've grown a true appreciation for the country and their life style. Rome, could possibly be my second most favorite city that I've been to. Here's a small collection of my favorite pics from different visits of what I think is one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
Manhattan, my favorite island ever
Living in Manhattan you tend to forget this place is an island. It's not what you typically associate with island life when you think of New York City. It's unlike any other island in the world, which is why, it's my favorite. Here's some pictures I've taken through the seasons to show you how diverse the little island can be.
Sophie and Eric's wedding in the Hamptons
Weddings. Normally, not my favorite thing to attend. But then Sophie and Eric had a wedding a little while back and it's left me hoping that all weddings could be this magical and fun. I'm not a wedding photographer but here is what I was able to grab through my lens while I attending their wedding, couldn't have asked for a better weekend.
Purkey in Turkey
Out trip to Istanbul, was not what I thought it was going to be like. Spent nearly the first week in a state hospital with no papers or passport. If you wanna know more, just ask me. At first, I couldn't wait to get out of Turkey, but things slowing started to change and I fell in love. When the time came around for us to leave it felt like we had just arrived and could have stayed weeks more. Here's some snaps I took after I was released from the hospital. Enjoy!
